Position Overview
As a Legal Specialist (Fresher) at Dr. Agarwal’s Eye Hospital, Chandigarh, you will support the hospital’s legal and compliance functions. You will assist senior legal counsel and management in drafting, reviewing, and maintaining legal documents, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations, and handling legal research. Key Responsibilities
- Drafting and Review of Legal Documents

- Compliance and Regulatory Liaison
- Support internal compliance audits to ensure adherence to laws such as the Medical Council/Board norms, consumer protection laws, biomedical waste regulations, clinical waste disposal, environmental laws, and health & safety statutes.
- Assist in preparing regulatory filings, licenses, registrations, renewals, and submissions to statutory bodies.
- Work with external legal counsels, regulators, and consultants when required to manage legal disputes or regulatory
- Risk Assessment and Internal Communication
- Participate in contract risk assessments and assist in mitigation strategies.
- Liaise with operational departments (clinical, procurement, human resources, finance) to identify potential legal risks in various agreements or operations.
- Prepare simple training or awareness materials for staff on basic legal topics such as confidentiality, patient consent, and regulatory compliance.
Qualifications and Skills Required
- Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree from a recognized University.
- Preferably up to 1 year of internship, apprentice, or trainee exposure in a legal setting (law firm, corporate legal department, or healthcare legal work).
- Sound academic record.
- Strong drafting skills, attention to detail, and clarity in legal writing.
- Ability to interpret statutes, regulations, and case law.
