Role Overview

As a Software Developer / Trainee with Brickwin, you will work from home:

• Be part of development teams working on new and ongoing web or mobile projects.
• Write clean, maintainable code under guidance.
• Participate in feature design, implementation, debugging, and testing.
• Collaborate with senior developers to meet technical standards.
• Learn using version control tools (such as Git), coding best practices, and basic software processes.
• Engage in tasks across front-end and/or back-end depending on project requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Contribute to development of web pages, user interfaces, or backend logic depending on the assignment.
• Assist with feature development, enhancements, and bug fixes, ensuring code meets required quality.
• Work with databases (relational or NoSQL) to fetch, store, update data as per application logic.
• Collaborate with peers, seniors, QA and design teams to deliver features with clarity on requirements.
• Write unit tests or assist in testing to ensure reliability of components.
• Learn and adhere to software development processes such as code reviews, continuous integration, deployment practices.
• Troubleshoot and debug code when issues arise.
• Maintain documentation (code comments, README files, project documentation) as needed.

Desired Qualifications & Skills

• Fresh Graduates (0 to 1 year experience) with a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, B.Tech / B.E / BCA / MCA or equivalent.
• Good fundamental understanding of programming principles, object-oriented programming.
• Basic skills in at least one of these languages: JavaScript, PHP, Python, Java, or similar.
• Familiarity with front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) is a plus. Knowledge of web frameworks (React, Vue.js, Angular, or backend frameworks like Django, Flask, or Laravel) will be helpful.
• Understanding of databases: relational (MySQL, PostgreSQL) or NoSQL.
• Basic knowledge of version control using Git or similar tools.
• Strong analytical skills, problem solving, willingness to learn, adapt, and take feedback.
• Good communication skills, ability to work in teams and follow instructions.
